The study permit is a document issued by IRCC that allows foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLI) in Canada. Most foreign nationals need a study permit to study in Canada. Programs that need a study permit are the following (assuming the duration is more than six months):

• A bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at a University
• A post-secondary certificate or diploma at a private or community college
• Studying at an elementary or secondary school (at a private, boarding, or public school)

• convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
• have enough money for your stay

Canadian citizenship is typically obtained either by birth in Canada or by birth abroad to at least one parent with Canadian citizenship or by adoption by at least one Canadian citizen. To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen through naturalization, you must:
